A haunting story of love, ambition, power and humanity. Filled with evocative music, sharp lyrics and glorious song and dance. For the first time in English in Israel, opening tonight, Jan 17th for an eight city tour.

Evita is a musical theater opera, with some of the most haunting and evocative music Andrew Lloyd Webber has ever written. The lyrics by Tim Rice are sharp and sophisticated, and the story, told entirely in song, is constantly surprising and deeply moving. Famous songs include Another Suitcase, You Must Love Me, Buenos Aires and, of course, Don't Cry For Me Argentina.

This production, directed by Yisrael Lutnick, conducted by Eliah Zabaly and beautifully choreographed by Oran Aviv, boasts a semi-professional and enthusiastic cast of 20 actors. The show stars the wonderful Saphira Tessler in the role of Eva, and talented young tenor Kfir Levy as Che. Operatic baritone Samuel de Beck Spitzer will be singing the role of Juan Peron.

Costumes have been designed by Ephrayim and Marina Levy. Sets were designed by Elazar Brandt, Studio Productions (Indiana, USA) and Bernard Benchimol (who has also overseen our sound and light upgrade and assembled our new technical team).
